Immigration Laws of UAE

Federal Law No.6 of year 1973, as amended by Federal Law No. 13 of 1996, incorporates legislation regulating the immigration of expatriates to and from the UAE. Article (7) of the Immigration Law states that "immigration officials at any member of the UAE's international airports may, by virtue of guidelines laid down by the Ministry of the Interior, grant foreign national visas for the 96 hour period of the country entry.

Article 12 of the Immigration Law determines that "any outsider who enters a country with a visa or permission must leave it by cancellation expiry date or consent unless a residence visa is granted." For several reasons, an outsider may obtain a visa. Although the procedures are very similar to all, the circumstances depend on who the guest is and who the support of the guest is.
Penalty and Punishments
- Article 30 of Immigration Law states that where a guest goes to the UAE for any means of transport by breaking down Articles 2 where no guest can join the country in the absence of a lawful foreign identity or a movement archive.

- Article (32) states expressly that if the owner or the person responsible tries, by breaching the provisions of the immigration law, to transport any person into the country for a time not exceeding one year and a fine not exceeding 1361 USD, the person shall be imprisoned.
- Article 36 states that 'any person who tries to commit or joins in or aids or encourages others to commit a crime punishable under this law shall be subject to the penalty for those who commit the crime itself.
